The Museum will be closed on the following days:

  • Rosh Hashanah September 13
  • Yom Kippur September 21
  • Sukkot September 27
  • Simchat Torah October 4
  • Thanksgiving November 26

We are open to the public and welcome all residents, families, outside visitors, and organized groups to experience both the Art Collection and Derfner Judaica Museum. Admission is always free. The Museum is located in the Riverdale neighborhood in the northwest Bronx. We are a short walk from the W. 261st Street stop on local bus routes (Bx7, Bx10) and express bus (BxM1, BxM2), and a 15-minute walk from the MetroNorth Riverdale station. The #1 subway line stops at W. 231st Street and connects to the Bx7 or Bx10 buses. Free on-site parking is also available. For group visit information, click here.

Located on the main floor of the Jacob Reingold Pavilion

Photo ID is required for admission to the Hebrew Home campus at all times. Valid ID includes:

  • Government ID card
  • IDNYC card
  • Passport
  • School ID card
